Return From Hiatus.

Well, after only 4 posts I went on hiatus... How lovely was that?
Either way, I am back now and intend on blogging some more and hopefully not going on hiatus for quite some time!

Well, over the last three months... What has happened? Well... The world has plunged itself further and further into this recession rather than trying to actually get ourselves out of it. In terms of the Irish Government they realised that they had made far too many mistakes on the last budget so they decided to call a 'mini' budget last week. And what did they do? They did the exact same thing that apparently went wrong the last time, they raised taxes on EVERYTHING! It looks like Mr. Lenihan will be driving a new BMW by next week.

Moving on..

My own life has been pretty much the same. Techno project is going well, band is going well, school is going well etc. I've been tired a lot more, but, I can't really complain about that, it's pretty much my own fault for not getting enough sleep. This Is Generica is on the verge of being picked up by a distribution company (See, techno sells). But, in the end everything is pretty much the same as it was before. Isn't that lovely?

Easter has sucked for the most part, the only parts that haven't sucked are the 3 gigs and last night we all went bowling and created the inter-band league! 3 points to the winner, 2 points to 2nd place, 1 point to 3rd place and nothing to the last place finisher. So, after 2 games last night the standings are:

Glenn: 5 Points.
Eoin (Me): 4 Points.
Gary: 2 Points.
Zach: 1 Point.

It's an interesting system. Hopefully it can keep us entertained for the next few months!

Either way, I has best be hitting the ol' dusty trail. Must go to town to purchase new shoes and whatnot.

Good bike.

So Much For Middle Earth.

Today was well boring... Got up, went to school, ate lunch, got some talk from Ulster Bank about "THE RECESSION! BE AFRAID!", came home, slept, ate dinner, slept some more and now I'm here.
So today was pretty uneventful.

Upon my publishing of this post me thinks I'm going to start plugging this thing everywhere I go (online anyway), I think I actually want people to read this for some strange reason.

So, back to drinking Red Bull to satisfy my boredom, and after the Red Bull, I move onto Lucozade. need a sugar rush, I'm far too tired today. I've been this way since about the second or third day back after the Christmas holidays. Dunno why, probably just fatigued and whatnot, it could also be due to my Epstein Barr... Probably the latter.

Either way, I'm off.
Have a nice time all!

When Will The Forest Speak?

I'll describe the day in one word from a majority of the World's point of view: Obama!
I'll describe the day in one word from my own point of view: Eh.

People are making too big of a fuss over this Obama thing, he's just another President who has made a few too many promises to the people that frankly I don't believe he will stick to.... Well, not all of them anyway. Hell, my dad even let me sleep in today because of the thing... Bit too much really, although I did enjoy another day off.

From what I can see of the Obama thing, it's most definitely turning into a personality cult without the man doing pretty much anything himself to install it within the people. The people won't say it though because they really don't want to know it. People under the Nazis and Hitler's Personaility Cult were the same... Although I somehow doubt Obama is going to order the deaths of 6 million people. But all in all, it is a personality cult of sorts, the pictures, t-shirts and the almost worship of him by the people...

In other news, Ted Kennedy had a seizure and collapsed at the inauguration... Still no official news on his condition as of the writing of this post.

I'm out of the hotel tomorrow, looking forward to it, still quite boring here, but otherwise fine... I miss my good internet, Xbox and overall quality of life...

I'm off!
See you on the other side.

How Insightful...

So, I'm hoping to actually keep this thing going, unlike my last attempt... So, fingers crossed eh?

So, first thing's first, this whole Obama thing... I'm not going to be another pretentious fag and write paragraph upon paragraph about how this is the greatest thing to happen to the world ever and how this and that is going to be much better now... Because yeah, it's a great day for the world and everything, but perhaps a fair few of these people are just saying this because of the colour of his skin, and not his stance on politics. I mean, most of the people who write about him might have only read the blurb of one of his books or something, which is why I'm just going to say: Looking forward to see what happens and don't fuck up like the last three.

Hotel's not looking so bad now, just took some getting used to. Only thing bugging me is the lack of an AV channel on the TV, brought the Xbox with the hope of having something to do and after I had set it up and everything... Nothing... I was bummed...

Took the day off today. Was far too tired to go in today after Dublin, it was nice to sleep in for once, spent most of my day in bed, watching TV and drinking Hot Chocolate that was brought to the room on demand. Job.

Best be off, hotelling to be done.

Toodle pip,
Eoin.

To Start With...

This be my first, somewhat... Public blog. Was on Xanga before this but, it's not the most public of blogs and it was read by a maximum of about 1 person per every 3 or so posts. Either way I'm here now... I might have taken the lazy route into doing it, but honestly, I'm rather happy with that.

Either ways, kind of got inspired to start this public one due to my attendance at TeenCamp Ireland yesterday. T'was a great day for everyone there (I hope so anyway), got to meet some kick ass people and I really look forward to the next TeenCamp, wherever and whenever it may be.

So, currently my head is aching, my eyes feel like they have lead weights attached to them, my legs seems to be a different kind of sore depending on whether I'm standing up or sitting down and I'm horsing a Red Bull down my throat because for some reason, it just feels like the right thing to do. As regards to my current state of mind I'm in a kind of happy/angry/give me sugar kind of mood. This is partially in relation to the fact that as soon as I arrived home from a very tiring trip to Dublin, I was told that I had to pack stuff up as we were moving to a Hotel for the next four or so days, leaving me with an even longer walk to and from school every day, no 'personal' space, as such and absolutely no form of civilised entertainment except for a very primitive internet connection and the cream of Irish Television (RTE1, 2, TV3 and TG4). Hence the consumption of 3 or so Red Bulls in the last 25 or so minutes just to keep me awake and for something to do.

Anyway, that's all from me for now.

Good Night and Have a Pleasant Tomorrow.
Eoin.
